History of Kesbewa Divisional Secretariat

The Kesbewa Divisional Secretariat, which has a long history, is said to have been transformed into the Palle Pattu by the Divisional Revenue Officer, Salpita Korale, after the Mudliar period in the past. Assets Divisional Secretariats Moratuwa Divisional Secretariat, Homagama Divisional Secretariat, Wethara, Polgasowita, Uduruwagoda, Rilawala, Siddamulla, Pil Pattu, Palle Pattu (Present Isuru Uyana) has been maintained in the area. Over time, this Divisional Revenue Officer's office has been housed in a house not far from Wewala Junction on Horana Road, Colombo.

The office of the Divisional Revenue Officer at Palle Pattu, Salpitiya Korale, consisting of the three divisions of Moratuwa, Homagama and Kesbewa, began a separate journey from its twin brothers after 1973. That was the beginning of the 1973 Vice Presidential Office system. Accordingly, he started his journey under the name of Kesbewa Assistant Government Agent's Office based on the Kesbewa electorate only.

On the auspicious day of February 21, 1979, the first phase of the present Regional Office was inaugurated. At that time the number of staff members was 09. There are 28 Grama Niladhari Divisions. In 1987, the number of Grama Niladhari Divisions increased to 73. It is a very important event because of the large number of domains to date.

With the decentralization of the administration in 1990, the Kesbewa Deputy General Secretary's Office became the Kesbewa Divisional Secretariat through the Divisional Secretariat system. The staff of about ten has been expanded to include the services of various government departments and agencies under one roof.

Arrived at a more spacious three-story building on May 4 2006 at an auspicious time. In 2010, the Kesbewa Divisional Secretariat was able to obtain the IOS 9001 - 2008 Quality Certificate, which is guaranteed to provide an efficient public service to the satisfaction of those who visit this Divisional Secretariat through 73 Grama Niladhari Divisions. He also competed in the Productivity Trophy in 2014 as well as in 2015 and finished third at the All Island level.
